Bose Solo 5 in the test

The probably most compact, one-piece soundbar variant Bose offers with its solo 5. The 55-centimeter bar operates without a subwoofer and can be integrated horizontally or horizontally into the living room. An optical cable and a coaxial cable are included in the scope of delivery, so that the soundbar can be easily connected to the TV. HDMI is not on board.

Via the associated universal remote control of the Bose Solo 5, all the players can be operated after a short set-up. This is practical, but also the reason for their somewhat unhandy design. The soundbar itself has no buttons. There are negative points for the display: source, bass and volume control are only indicated by small illuminated LEDs.

What the sound beam has sounded on, he reveals in the music reproduction. The Bose Solo 5 delivers great bass, which can be adapted to your personal preference, and also reproduces the remaining sound frequencies harmoniously and precisely. It's simply fun! A wireless connection via Bluetooth is quick and reliable.

If you prefer action movies look fast, it is also quite a matter of fact here - respect, what the small soundbar here provides in terms of spatial representation. For dialog scenes or messages, there is a separate mode that makes conversations clear.

Small but powerful: The Bose Solo 5 offers considerable depth for a soundbar without a subwoofer and is particularly convincing in the musical test.
