Samsung has presented the SSD 850 Evo series, which uses the new technology 3D Vertical NAND Flash (V-NAND), just like the Pro series already launched in July. As a result, SSD (Solid State Drive) has multi-layer and cylindrical structures.

Thanks to these structures, manufacturers expect a higher write speed and memory density as well as better durability despite reduced energy requirements.
The 850 Evo series's Triple Level Cell (TLC) modules store three instead of two bits in each cell, unlike MLC (Multilevel Cell) modules. This makes the TLC memory cheaper.
The models of the Samsung 850 Evo will be available with storage capacities of 120, 250, 500 and 1,000 gigabytes. The sequential transfer rates of the SSD during reading are up to 540 megabytes per second, while the speed of writing reaches up to 520 megabytes per second.
Samsung also commented on the price and release of the new SSD series. So the recommended retail price for the 120GB version is at 92 euros. For 250 gigabytes, 137 euros, 500 gigabytes 247 euros and a terabyte storage space 457 euros is required. According to Samsung, the new SSDs are available from mid-December.
