At the top of the list of trends is Ultra HD, which is the fourfold HD resolution. All major manufacturers have devices with 4K resolution in the luggage, be it the 32-inch Sharp, or the 110-inch Samsung. This is not just about a sharp image. Design, control and energy consumption of the devices are also the focus.
For example, Samsung has improved voice control and improved the Smart TV interface. Sony, on the other hand, uses Near Field Communication (NFC) and integrates the new Xperia smartphone into the media control system. With one touch, content from the smartphone is transferred to the TV or a speaker.
