TechNite 24: 20 years of DVB, new soundbars and tech news of the week

The end of the VHS recorder is a topic of TechNite issue 24 of July 29, 2017.

In issue 24, the TechNite team has something to mourn, celebrate, raffle, and (news) announcements. Unfortunately, the Japanese manufacturer Funai has announced the end of the VCR. He will be the last to stop production. On the other hand, the 20-year anniversary of digital television will be celebrated! On 28 July 1996 the first digital TV signal was broadcast - an important moment in the history of technology! In the meantime the standard is used for all transmission routes (satellite, cable and terrestrial) and also paved the way for high-resolution image transmission.


In addition to this, new soundbars for testing and the latest TechNews of the week (including XBox One S, AV receivers from Marantz and BenQ and Hisense projectors)
