MWC 2013: Spotify - Music streaming service comes in Ford cars

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2013), Spotify has announced that the new Ford EcoSport off-road sedan will be equipped with the music service as standard. Just over a year ago, the Streaming service Spotify was launched in the United States. Only the music stream is offered, a download is not provided. A music flat rate costs the user about 10 euros per month and offers about 20 million titles.

Now Spotify wants to get into the car. The start begins together with Ford with the standard streaming equipment of the geldelimousine EcoSport. Spotify uses a special streaming technology, which should prevent gaps in the transmission, even in the case of weak mobile communications. For the operation is also a special technique for the voice control of apps, such as Ford explained. Drivers can use smartphone apps without having to take their hands off the wheel.
