Youtube prepares for the IT portal “DailyDot” according to a relaunch of the streaming platform “Youtube Live”. For the realignment of the platform, the Internetriese is mainly focusing on eSports and gaming.
According to the sources of DailyDot, Youtube, which was surpassed last year in a takeover attempt of the streaming giant Twitch by Amazon, already in the past increasingly interest in the growing eSports sector shown and now wants with a 50-member team at the Relaunch work.
Youtube Live was able to celebrate some successes in the gaming area, despite the competition from Twitch. For example, the company has been responsible for the transmission of the largest eSports league in the world, along with other streaming services: since 2013, Youtube and the competitor Twitch-TV have been broadcasting the "League of Legends Championship Series."
When the revised version of the streaming platform is to be released, is unknown. According to speculation, Google could make an initial announcement at the E3 fair, which runs from 16 to 18 June 2017.
