If you want to make your home fit for the future, you need to plan your electrical system for the future. It is not always easy to keep an overview: kitchen, living room, hallway – how many sockets do you need in which room? Where are the cables for the network and telephone laid? Is the electrical equipment also sufficient if the housing situation changes and a home cinema system suddenly needs to be installed in the former nursery? All these questions must be considered in order to avoid costly retrofitting later.
Detailed planning space for space
This is exactly where the space planner of the initiative ELEKTRO + helps. This free online software allows the individual and detailed planning of an electrical installation for a new building or a renovation. The browser-executable web tool includes all the details of sockets, switches and connections, as well as loudspeakers and smoke detectors. With a few clicks, the software determines which electrical elements are required for which room. The spatial planner uses the DIN standard 18015, which specifies the minimum requirements for electrical equipment, depending on the room layout. In addition, there is the possibility to determine the requirements for two more comfortable equipment levels, which are based on the requirements of RAL-RG 678.
To plan with the ELEKTRO + room planner
If you want to go into more detail, you have the possibility to plan a furnished floor plan with the room planner and place the planned electrical equipment directly on this space. From the socket to the motion detector, all the equipment elements are available as a freely positionable symbol.
Try it now!
The operation of the ELEKTRO + room planner is largely self-explanatory. Use the menu bar to select the room to be planned. You then define the desired equipment (minimum equipment, standard equipment, comfort equipment) and the room size. Now you can get an overview of the necessary equipment elements in the list planning and later visualize them in the floorplan.
On the planning area of the floor plan, all elements can be positioned by drag & drop. There are floor plans (wall, door, window), furniture symbols (furniture, electrical appliances, etc.) as well as electrosymbols). In order to adjust the correct size and the correct placement angle, the elements can be rotated and scaled. Clicking on the "x" will delete incorrectly placed symbols.
You can use the menu item "Planning help" to display helpful hints for each housing. The created design can be saved and downloaded. The "Download" button allows a started project to be continued. It is also possible to print the floor plan directly.
The ELEKTRO + room planner is free of charge and can be started directly without installation via the browser (Adobe Flashplayer is required).
