Aldi Nord will soon have external hard disks on offer. The Medion P82757 (MD 90198) and the Medion P83777 (MD 90199) will take place on July 8th, 2013. The external HDDs can be connected to your PC or laptop via USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 (downwards compatible), after which both devices offer you a storage capacity of around one Terabyte (1TB). The price is 69.99 euros. This is in the middle price range for budget hard disks with approximately the same equipment. These are the three-year warranty Medion’s IT equipment typically provides.
The key difference between the two external hard drives Medion P82757 (MD 90198) and Medion P83777 (MD 90199) is the size. The Medion P82757 (MD 90198) comes in a 2.5-inch format and is therefore particularly suitable for users who are on the move and want to have their files always with them. The power supply runs through the USB port. Certain devices, especially mobile devices, require two USB slots, as the voltage of a connector might not be sufficient. A USB cable is included.
The Medion P83777 (MD 90199) comes in 3.5 inch format. In contrast to the Medion P82757 (MD 90198), there are not 8, but 64 MB available as cache memory. By using a hard disk with a larger design, you need a power supply for the power supply. This is included as well as a USB cable. Both devices have in common that they are usually ready for use (Plug & Play) under all current Windows versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 and Vista up to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) without additional driver installation
