Flash Player: Patched security gap continues to be attacked

Adobe had closed a critical vulnerability with the current Flash Player update 17.0.0.188. Details or details on whether or not cybercriminals had already used the stuffed leak did not exist at first. These now come from the security company FireEye, which have discovered corresponding attack functions in the popular exploit kit “Angler”. The memory can be corrupted and code executed by prepared flash files, for example in advertisements or browser games.

Flash: Patched security gap is still being used

Users should now check their version of the Flash Player for an update and run if necessary. The integrated update service does not always report on time. Also, corresponding messages are quickly clicked away in a few seconds and are ignored.

Also the security specialist "Kafeine", which warned just before another explolo kit for routers, confirms appropriate functions in "angler". According to him, cybercriminals exploit the Exploit Kit to play malware and prepared advertising pests on unpatched systems. These can spam data and cause other damage.

According to FireEye, other exploit kits are supposed to bring appropriate functions to exploit the just-closed security gap in Flash. Various observations, which FireEye specifies in a detailed analysis, indicate that the gap has been exploited and continues to be attacked. Take action and bring your Flash Player up to date!
