MarkusZ (fc profile): the eagle has landed

Summer 2011, Scotland, Inverness Airport. It was raining. I looked out of one of the right side windows of the turboprop machine of the type Dash 8Q-400 and spontaneously actuated the trigger of my Nikon D300. I photographed with a Tamron 2.8 / 17-50 with 50 mm focal length, ISO 200, aperture 6.3 at 1/40 second. I was fascinated by the light mood as well as the few picture elements which perfectly reflect the dynamics of the aircraft during the landing.

The picture is original. In the post-processing I decided, instead of the colors to overstate, to a black and white conversion with the filter software NIK Silver Efex Pro. To emphasize the spraying of the water, I have strengthened contrasts and structures. Having as few elements as possible to get a good view into a picture is for me the greatest challenge. My concept is to go through the world with open eyes and to spot and track things that are difficult to stage or plan.
