New DVBLink v4 with new server

With the latest release of the new DVBLink v4 from DVBLogic, the user gets more freedom when it comes to playing his TV program with different clients at home and on the road. The DVBLink products consist of two components: the source product, the TV and radio channels from various sources integrated into the Windows Media Center, and the DVBLink Connect! Server that provides the TV content to different clients at home and on the road using different apps.

The new DVBLink Connect! Server supports various mobile clients. Apps for streaming on iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone as well as EPG and TV recordings on the road are available free of charge in the respective App Stores and Markets. Boxee software plus Boxee App now enable the streaming of TV content, EPG and recordings also on Linux and Mac clients. The app can also be installed on the Boxee Box via the Boxee Repository. Additional clients can be developed on the basis of the Remote API itself. In the new Connect! Servers should also be improved reliability and availability when streaming within the home network via LAN or Wifi. Supported home clients include PCs, laptops and netbooks, as well as DLNA clients such as Playstation 3, Xbox 360, or UPnP-enabled media players or TVs.

DVBLink v4 is a paid update for owners of versions 2.x or 3.x. The cost per person is 10 Euro including VAT for all installed DVBLink products. Customers who bought DVBLink v3 after July 1, 2011 will receive the upgrade free of charge. The upgrades are available in the DVBLogic license portal. The complete package currently costs almost 40 euros for new customers.
