Notebooks: Midfield

With the 6050 Toshiba offers a new notebook from the Satellite Pro series. As a CPU a mobile Celeron with 1200 MHz is used, with the graphics chip the manufacturer uses the Trident Cyberaladdin T. What already suggests the choice of these components is confirmed in the test laboratory: The performance values are not particularly good. Especially the 3D measurements leave something to be desired. As a 3D game console, the 6050 can not be misused. The office performance was also at best on average, which is however in the everyday use of Word & Co. absolutely to be forgotten. However, the integrated, fast CD drive, the very fast drive and the high-contrast 14.1-inch display are a plus. The battery life is disappointing with about 85 minutes, although the mobile Celeron is actually a relatively modest processor. Also, the notebook on the bottom becomes unpleasantly hot. As a mouse replacement, Toshiba is synonymous with this device as ever on a mousestick. An external floppy disk drive is included. Positive is the good processing quality. Here Toshiba reaches its usual high standard.
