Windows 9 Release: New features known to Threshold

Prior to the Windows 9 release in the middle of 2017, more and more details about the features of the new operating system are known by Microsoft. So the “Threshold” called OS will receive new interactive tiles as well as a new Notification Center.

Also interesting is

According to the portal WinBeta, the Windows 8 successor is to receive a further development of the so-called live tiles, which already existed in Windows 8.1. These tiles, which are an important part of the Modern UI and are modeled on the smartphone widgets, enable the user to scroll through emails without having to open an external application.

What is also exciting is the Notification Center, which will be implemented in Windows 9. This display is similar to the recently developed Notification Center for Windows Phone 8.1 and provides the most important messages in an overview.

Both features will only appear in the final version of Windows Threshold. The "Technology Preview" predecessor, which is to be presented on an official press event to Windows 9, does not contain these functions yet, WinBeta said. These are to be delivered with updates that are published up to two times a month.

Other innovations that Microsoft has implemented in Windows 9 include the return to the classic Start menu, as well as the "Cortana" baptized voice control. What innovations Threshold still provides, the company allegedly on 30 September 2017.
