If you want to see HD movies, you should have a DSL connection with 16 Mbps or more. It's a pity that the box does not use its 160-GB hard disk to temporarily store borrowed movies completely. Thus, waiting times could be minimized. Image and sound quality of the films are however in SD and HD convincing. HD movies in 720p do not reach completely Blu-ray quality, but they are still crisp. And the movie offer is huge.


From other online videotheques, videociety differs in that it works with almost every BD-Live Blu-ray player. A special videociety disc makes the player a receiving box. Most Blu-ray users can test videociety without additional investment.


The TV-Videothek is currently still sparsely stocked. There are current blockbuster, which come however mainly from the Warner-Filmbibliothek. So far, videociety has no other Hollywood majors in the boat.
