The Samsung NX210 is a very light and very compact test case with 125 x 65 x 37 mm. In addition, the mirrorless system is comparatively cheap and is priced at 720 euros over consumer SLRs such as the Canon EOS 650D and Nikon D5100. Like all NX models of the latest generation, the NX210 comes with an integrated WLAN module. On the other hand, there is neither an integrated nor a suitable external viewfinder, and instead of the pop-up flash, a separate, but still supplied, flash-on flash.
Image quality
Although the Samsung NX210 uses 20 megapixels on the APS-C sensor for image recording, it achieves a lower limit of ISO 100 to 3,200 compared to most 16 and 18 MP cameras tested here
The Samsung NX210 keeps the color contrasts relatively high in the RAW test (up to DL 1205 LP / BH), but the texture loss can nevertheless press on mostly 0.1 kurtosis. Due to the restrained processing of the raw data, the noise in the RAW test is more pronounced, the dynamic as usual weaker.
Note: This is the RAW test of the Samsung NX210, which focuses solely on the image quality of the camera in RAW mode (more about our test procedures and the new RAW test). For all technical details of the camera and a comprehensive review, including the evaluation of processing and operation, read our JPEG test of the Samsung NX210.
