Uplay: PC version of Watchdogs can not withstand rush

The long-awaited real GTA 5 alternative watchdogs had to fight with the considerable problems of the Uplay servers during the release. However, these are absolutely necessary for playing the PC version. Users reported crashing scores – some could not even log in.

According to publisher Ubisoft, who reported Twitter's technical difficulties, the situation had improved, but the problems were not fixed yet: "We're working to solve the problems of authentication, there's progress, and more Last Twitter post the company. A special annoyance for the players should be that Uplay had previously been struggling with lengthy troubles.

Watchdogs, which has been released on May 27, 2017 for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360, is ranked 1st in the sales charts for Internet providers like Amazon.de. The big rush on the release day is therefore less surprising and should have also led Ubisoft to expand the capacity of the Uplay servers.

An illegal robbery of the GTA5 clone also made headlines: the fact that robbery is often infested with viruses or other pests is no secret. The illegal watchdog copy, however, has a very different intruder: it is provided with a Bitcoin-Miner that uses the system.

We're working to fix the authentication issue affecting our online services. We're seeing improvements. Stay tuned for the latest.
