Gigaset ME Smartphone GS55-6 on test

Gigaset is known for high-quality DECT phones. The Gigaset ME is a high-quality Android smartphone made of stainless steel and gorilla glass. The equipment with dual SIM, 16-megapixel front camera with LED light and fingerprint reader like in the test very well. Also the user interface is really successful and reminds with its typical icons to the house phones. The ME comes with touchscreen navigation buttons – this reminds us of HTC.

Gigaset ME GS55-6: details

In the test lab, the ME is a very good figure, with one exception. Transmit and receive quality is very good, the radiation load is low, the battery performance in continuous operation is good 6:58 hours. Also the language quality is very good, but - and that is the catch - only at the receiver. The own acoustics leaves much to be desired. That Gigaset does not use a reasonable earphone is incomprehensible. In our acoustics, the ME reaches only 50 percent of possible points - weak.

The Gigaset ME is really high quality and successful for a novice. The weak acoustics is unfortunately a real shortcoming.
