Good news for users who experience the free upgrade to Windows 10: Anyone who does not like to update or reset his operating system automatically via desktop installer, such as the Windows Update, will not be forced to run Windows 10 for eternity. Microsoft confirms that users who use the free Windows 10 offer will be able to perform a clean reinstallation in the event of a case.
Also interesting is
A clean reinstallation of Windows 10 includes a formatting of the system partition or hard drive together with the introduction of the Windows setup with a bootable data carrier (DVD or USB stick). Corresponding ISO files for the creation of the data carriers and the individual license key should be made available to Microsoft as soon as possible. Even if the last part is not confirmed, there is no other way for a complete reinstallation that Microsoft's Gabriel Aul (head of the "Windows Insider" program) promises on Twitter.
If you "flatten" your system and play Windows fresh from scratch, it has several advantages. For example, there are no "files" on the side of the system: such as drivers that are no longer working or unused programs. The user also does not need to worry about settings being incorrectly applied to programs. It is better to access external solutions for backup and migrate settings and data manually. For help, give our general guide to Windows 8 preparation. The disadvantage is, of course, that you have to manually install all necessary programs for a cleanly installed system.
Windows 10 will be released on July 29th. Anyone who has already reserved the upgrade will be able to start downloading a few days before, so there will be no bottleneck for the release.
