When is the Jailbreak for iOS7? Crucial impulses are expected from WWJC 2013. The WordWide Jailbreak Con, which takes place in New York on 23 and 24 August, can be seen as a kind of counter-event to Apple’s official WWDC development conference. Already in the run-up to these activities the successful launch of an activator app for the Jailbreak was shown for the current beta version of iOS 7.
The developer Ryan Petrich has documented it on Twitter. If the jailbreak has not yet been carried out, its principal feasibility is nevertheless proved. Also, a beta version may still contain gaps that are closed in the final version. To make it easier for the members of the Jailbreak community, a portal named OpenJailbreak is planned to include a software repository for iOS jailbreaks.
The free exchange of knowledge should help to locate security gaps, software and hardware problems more quickly. This makes the source code of Jailbreak modules publicly available. Whether the plans will succeed and lead to easily accessible programs for Apple users, however, is still open. Tip: We also have info about the iOS6.1 jailbreak.
