However forward-looking the Leica T may look, their autofocusing should not be better. In all the series of tests the Leica landed in the last place. In the test, the continuous autofocus showed signs of fatigue at the latest after the 7th image. At 2500 lux and ISO 800, the Leica was still very promising with three hits and 95 up 97% sharpness.
After that, the MTF50 values decreased moderately, but then steeply down to the 14th standard image to a minimum of 13%. Such grave bugs did not exist in the standard shooting mode with single-AF and slow-moving motif. Nevertheless, the sharpness of an average of 57% (2500 lux) and 63% (300 lux) could not be compared with the reference image in the meager yield of only 7 images within a 7.5-second test run.
Tip: The best way to get a good picture of moving subjects at the beginning of a series with a continuous autofocus.
