Ocster Backup Pro 8 in the test

Data backups are set up with just a few simple steps. An assistant helps to collect details such as source, destination, and backup type. However, there is a restriction: backups on optical media such as CD, DVD or Blu-ray are not provided.

Conclusion

In addition to data and documents, the software also secures e-mails and the settings of web browsers in the business environment. Office presets, however, are not secured, although these are sometimes difficult to set up. In addition to backing up to local media, additional cloud backups can be created.

To print from the Smartphone, Tablet & Co.

However, the price of around five euros for ten gigabytes per month is anything but a bargain. A real real-time feature is the incremental backup of complete hard disk images. Changes are first saved as a partial backup. Then, the software updates the complete backup, backups run much faster.

Ocster Backup Pro 8 is a solid but not an excellent backup solution for small and medium-sized businesses. The range of functions has smaller gaps. The price / performance ratio is acceptable overall.
