IPhone and iPad are responsible for the poor economic situation of Finland – as it is at least the Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. The politician makes Apple responsible for the crisis in Finland as well as the downgrade of the creditworthiness of his country. After all, the US company had destroyed the two most important export sectors with products like iPhone and iPad.

In a phone interview with CNBC, Finland's Prime Minister had expressed his opinion on the current economic situation, including the disputable statements. The iPhone destroyed Nokia, while the iPad destroyed the paper industry, says Stubb.
On Friday, the rating agency Standard & Poor's downgraded the creditworthiness of Finland from AAA to AA +. Contrary to the Prime Minister, the agency, as the reasons for the weak economic development, however, called the proximity to the sanctioned Russia and the danger of stagnation due to declining export requests, the shrinking working class and an aging population.
