The Philips board with a base of 70 cm x 33 cm carries televisions up to a diagonal of 140 cm (55 inches) and 22 kg on its back. Sound can be fed to the Sounddeck Philips SoundStage HTL4110 analogue or digitally from the TV. It is particularly convenient to connect the HDMI output to the ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI input of the TV set. Then the volume can be controlled via the TV remote control.
For smartphones and tablets, there is Bluetooth and a mini-clinker input. The SoundStage never sounds intrusive and also sounds great living rooms. However, the virtual surround effect makes it easy to enlarge the sound stage. Also high dynamics and detail resolution are not among the strengths of the deck.
