Once again, Edward Snowden ‘s secret documents are proving to be in turmoil. In the “Treasure Map” operation, NSA has been given access to the networks of telecoms and other providers, and has detailed all possible snooping paths to the end devices, individual mobile phones, tablets or Computers.
As we have reported, a press officer from Deutsche Telekom said it was unacceptable that foreign intelligence services illegally access the networks of telecoms.
The statement was now concretized. Although the references are very serious and have already American security experts like the BSI switched on, but in weeks of investigation no proof for intelligence manipulations in the telecom network can be found. The BSI also confirmed that they had taken the investigations.
As the Telekom writes in her blog, the espionage hints consist only of a "red curling on a chart". What this ultimately meant was not known. In addition, Telekom assumes the assumption that the information is actually tapped by the NSA only over the large US nodes of the Internet. Thus, at the same time, it can advertise its "Internet of Short Ways" project, which should keep the information in the country.
