Extremely quiet and manageable business PC with a distinctive design.
Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 TWR: details
Our test version of the extremely quiet business PC contained the very strong Intel Core i7-6700, 4 GB DDR4 RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GT720, a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD as well as a DL DVD burner. The very high processor performance confirms 8.98 CPU points in the Cinebench R11.5. The small memory only running in single-channel mode costs the Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 TWR but points in the 3DMark Cloud Gate (5,678 points) and the PCMark 8 (3,265 points). The fast SATAIII-SSD (429.3 MByte / s) balances the performance loss but something. Ultimately, we can certify the Lenovo PC's unrestricted fitness for use with standard office software.
Conclusion
On the other hand, the ThinkCentre M900 is very energy efficient. In the last-poor office operation, we measure only 18.3 watts. Only at full load the power consumption rises to 77.3 watts. The input devices are also pleasing. The keyboard is for our taste a bit noisy, otherwise high quality - the same goes for the mouse. One of the great features of the M900 are the sophisticated Lenovo management tools in conjunction with Intel vPro. This makes the PC very easy to manage. Even when switched off, administrators can access it remotely, for example, to perform error diagnostics and to apply security updates.
