Apple Livestream: WWDC 2017 with Windows, Android & Co.

You want to see the free download of Apple’s WWDC 2017 keynote free of charge in Livestream on Windows, Android and Linux devices? According to the iPhone manufacturer this is not planned – as before, you need an Apple device with at least Safari 6.0.5 on OS X 10.8.5 or iOS 6 (or older) for the live stream to the Apple event ). But with a trick you can also watch on other platforms for free. In this article, we will show you how to do this on Monday at 7 pm. This is the start shot for the developer conference.

WWDC 2017 - What's coming

While Apple devices on the interface provide direct access to the live stream to the "Worldwide Developer Conference 2017", users of Windows, Android and Linux of the VLC Media Player have to operate. Start the VLC Media Player and click or tap "Media". Then select "Open Networkstream". Alternatively, the key combination "Ctrl" + "N" works on the VLC interface.

As a URL, type the following address that betanews.com has published: "http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edgesuite.net/15pijbnaefvpoijbaefvpihb06/m3u8/atv_mvp.m3u8" (without the quotes). Confirm with "Playback."

Keep in mind that this URL will not work until the event is started. Also, be aware of possible problems with playback due to increased access. This could be a stall or even - as with the iPhone-6 event - a temporary total failure of the live stream (which then synonymous Apple devices). As an alternative - and not only when this case arrives - we recommend the live ticker for the Apple event WWDC 2017 from connect.de. Our colleagues will keep you up to date with all the latest news.

Typical for the Apple developer conference, there will be no new hardware flagship a la iPhone 7 or iPad Air 3. However, updates for existing devices are still possible. What the professional world is definitely reckoning with are news about iOS 9 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as OS X 10.11 for Mac computers. There are rumors about a start of the Spotify competitor from Apple and more to Apple Pay. Previously, there was talk of a new "Apple TV" device.
