Pokémon GO: Server Update changes egg hatching, spawn rates and attacks

Pokémon GO: The latest server update from August 19, apparently facilitates the hatching of eggs.

Rare Pokémon spawn more often, Pokéstops with more Potions

Pokémon GO received another update this weekend. An update of the app is not necessary, however, because it is a server-side update that Niantic has activated on the night of August 19 to August 20 via the game servers. After the attack values have been adjusted several weeks ago, the Pokémon GO Server update also brings numerous changes. We will explain these in the following.

Eggs hatching: Accuracy increased

For example, the AR gaming blog reports fevgames about massive changes in the spawn rates of monsters. Pokémon: Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon Pokémon

Numerous attack changes

The Pokémon, which is restricted to individual continents, is now to be noticeably more frequently spawned. This means: Tauros in North America, Kangama in Australia, Pantimos in Europe and Porenta in Asia. It is also assumed that spawn rates have also been increased in rural areas. However, the observations so far are not uniform.

Arenakampf: Nerf for "Dodge"

As sure, however, Niantic has screwed at the item drop rates of the Pokéstops. So now they should throw more potions than before.

Also updated is the Pokémon GO server update from 19./20. August seems to be the accuracy with which the distance is measured when eggs are hatched.

Initially it was assumed here that Niantic had adapted the maximum speed at hatching. However, first tests by different Silphroad members have refuted this. The faster hatching is therefore favored by the higher detection accuracy, not by an increase in the speed.

In the sense of the game balance Niantic with the server update has also changed the possible attacks for numerous Pokémon. The following Moveset adjustments could be confirmed by Gamepress via an analysis of the GAME_MASTER file

Noteworthy is the attack change at Mew. This rare Pokémon can not yet be officially caught in Pokémon GO. The adjustment of the attack might indicate that this could change soon.

The analysis of the GAME_MASTER file also confirms another change to Pokémon GO: Dodge in the arena does not prevent 100% of the damage, but only 75%. So attackers always get at least 25 percent damage. The result is that the defense of an arena is a little easier.

While the changes due to the server-side update will surely please many players, most of them are likely to roll out the new "close-up" feature. After testing it in selected regions, it is expected to reach all players with the next app update.

App update with new "Nearby" function ahead?

This update in turn should not be too far away, because Niantic CEO John Hanke had promised an update every two weeks after the Pokémon GO Launch. If you calculate from the last Pokémon GO update 0.33 / 1.30, the next appointment for an app update would be today's Monday, August 22nd. So we can be excited.

Update: As expected, the Pokémon GO update (0.35.0 / 1.5.0) is there and brings a new evaluation function for Pokémon. The desired "near" function is not yet included.
