Six online services for photo calendars

Online Photoservices at Test

Conclusion

For the calendar design once a year, the hard disk does not necessarily have to be used with software. This is why, during this year's test of photo calendars, providers with online processing were also tested. ColorFoto has tested photos from CeWe, Fujifilm and Pixelnet A3 calendars on photopapier and photogravure photogravure from the printers Printeria, Ifolor and PosterXXL.

The test results in the overview

Only in the case of providers whose design functions are too low online, we have used the respective ordering software for the desktop PC, but then evaluated the functionality of the online processing. We ordered A3 calendars in cross-format. For three providers, we have ordered real photo calendars and three printed calendars. If available, we have also applied varnish to printed calendars.

The test shows two things: the design online is no longer the desktop software in any way. Printers and Fujifilm are leading and, in part, even superior to the free ordering and processing programs.

At the same time, the quality boundaries between printed and exposed calendars are blurred. Fujifilm is clearly the most convincing quality, but it is again Printeria, which provides a glossy protective lacquer in the printed calendar.

On the calendar of CeWe, the ghosts are the clearest: despite very good brilliance, good color shading and sharpness, the color adjustment is extremely colorful and thus falsifying. The broad mass of users who send images directly to calendar printing without further image processing and control will like the colorful images.
