SonyKDL-55HX825

The KDL-55HX825 comes from the second-best class of Sony and is accordingly lushly equipped. The key difference to the top class is in the panel.

The Stylish

The 925er series has directly luminous LEDs behind the display, while the 55HX825 they sit in the frame. The test candidate also works with 200 hertz and local dimming during picture setup, although in coarser zones than in the top model. He also has 3D control.

The matching glasses you have to buy for 50 euros. A Skype camera with four microphones for echo compensation and a HD chip are also available as accessories for 100 euros each. Otherwise, there are no smears.

Always in the

In addition to the elegant stand, a base in the monolith design, which corresponds to the width of the TV. The panel is let in and slightly tilted backwards. In addition, the technicians have installed additional speakers in the extra foot. They are supplied with signals via the HDMIBuchse audio return channel. An additional power supply provides the power.

As a totally networked TV, the Sony understands all available signals. The multi-tuner, for example, is responsible for the broadcast department and decrypts signals from the cable, the house antenna and the satellite dish.

Network media is accessed via LAN or WLAN. In the network segment, the Sony customer finds a lot of video and audio streams, which are partly free or paid in the form of the VoDDienst Qriocity.

There are few Internet widgets on board, but they are well integrated. Twitter and Facebook can be permanently displayed next to the TV screen. This keeps the news junk always up to date.

The last candy is a free internet browser. It builds the desired pages quickly and increases the font size if necessary.

In the image test the Sony surprised with a good representation of even badly resolved Internet videos. HD Boost is the responsible circuit. Their pictures look a bit soft, but they do not show blocks. Also the HD representation was correct. With great contrasts, sharp contours and in 3D also a great spatial image, he put himself on the top spot in the test.
