Apps for saving are a fine thing and in part offer a high savings potential. Pleasingly, most of the good savings apps themselves do not cost anything – and the 89 cents per year for WhatsApp on Android are a no brainer compared to the SMS flat rate.

However, many voucher apps are critical. They seduce themselves to do something they had not planned. According to the fallacy "I've saved so much money." Also the annoying - fortunately mostly switchable - push notifications of these savings apps get on the nerves. Of course, an app like MeinProspekt also leads to an unintended purchase.
