CES 2017: Ultra HD giants and home networking are trends in Las Vegas

In the TV sector here in Las Vegas, the Korean Samsung and LG contest will be continued and it will be exciting to see how the other competitors position themselves. LG has already announced the launch of the Curved Ultra HD TV 105UC9 with a gigantic 105-inch screen in the 21: 9 format offered by Philips and a 5K resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels

The extremely wide screen, according to LG, allows users to display additional information on the edge without affecting the main TV picture. With the curved screen, LG wants to create mainly movie theater as on the big screen. In addition to the new giant, LG wants to shine with a whole range of UHD devices.

CES 2017 - Finally the 4K content comes

The emerging Chinese manufacturer, TCL, will also present countless TV innovations at the CES, including a 65-inch UHD Curve TV and a 55-inch OLED TV. TCL will also show its flagship television at the show, a 110-inch UHD LCD TV.

Ultra HD is therefore the core issue of TV brands. In addition to more expensive highlight devices, however, the first affordable models will be the focus for a wider audience. For this purpose, compatible products such as cameras and camcorders and first 4K streaming solutions are presented for the missing ultra-high-resolution content.

Another focus of the trade fair, which is the annual meeting of the IFA in Berlin in September, will be the connected worlds. Car manufacturers such as Audi, Ford and Toyota will show how their latest models will in the future connect to the networked technology and be controlled by operating systems such as Android or iOS.

Samsung TV: Curved screen at the touch of a button

This year, wearables, which are also known as fitness bows or smart watches, such as Samsung's Galaxy Gear, are also heavily in the focus. And the Connected Home will also get a boost at CES. Household appliances via smartphone or tablet control is more self-evident. Despite the many different radio standards for house automation, some experts expect the long-term breakthrough towards the mass market in 2017. Manufacturers from all over the world, including American companies such as tado, a networked heating controller, are exhibiting their innovations at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Last but not least, the audio industry also wants to benefit from the ongoing networking. The magic word Multiroom will therefore play a major role in Las Vegas, as DTS has already announced on the city's commercials. And of course, other innovative sound solutions for the large flat-screen TVs such as new soundbars and sound decks may not be missing.

It is certain that we have high-spirited days in the players' town - all the important news from Las Vegas you can always find on video-magazin.de!
