The new Canon models Ixus 255 HS, Ixus 135 and Ixus 132 come in elegant, compact metal housings. The new PowerShot A2500 takes the role as a low-priced entry-level model. Ixus 255 HS and Ixus 135 are equipped with WLAN for the wireless connection to compatible smartphones, tablets or the Internet. They also provide a GPS function that uses mobile device location data.

How to find the right digital camera
While the Ixus 255 HS is equipped with a back-lit 12 megapixel CMOS sensor in 1 / 2.3 inch format, Digic 5 processor and 10x zoom from 24 mm, the other three models come with 16 megapixels -CMOS, Digic-4, and 8x or 5x zoom.
The 255 HS is the only one with a high-resolution 3-inch LCD monitor, while the others are modest with simple 2.7-inch LCD monitors. In the cameras "Smart Auto" ensures the right choice of the setting according to 32 typical scenes. In the three Ixus models, Canon also allows the optical image stabilizer with "Intelligent IS" to select its setting according to the shooting situation from seven modes

In all four new models, a new Eco mode will provide 30 percent more battery life. The Canon cameras come between March and April at prices between 260 euros and 110 euros in the trade.
