The free VMLite provides a XP-Vitalization-Mode, which can also be used to run older XP-applications under newer systems such as Windows 7 and Vista. In Windows 7, such a mode exists, but only in the Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions. With VMLite, you can also upgrade to Windows 7 Home and Home Premium and all Windows Vista systems.
