GTA 5 Redux is here. The graphic mod can now be downloaded.

Update 3 from September 16

Update 2 from August 30

To install GTA 5 Redux, see a separate article. You'll also learn more about the system requirements.

Update 1 from August 23rd

The 16th of September 2017 has been reached - the release of the graphic mod GTA 5 Redux should be done. But unfortunately, one download is missing any trace. Something worrisome is that the website for Mod GTA 5 Redux is no longer accessible. The account to the domain is no longer active. We wait and hope it is only a temporary problem. It is unknown whether the previously active hackers may make the modder continue to make life difficult or the mod has to be shifted again for other reasons. We'll keep you up to date.

Original message from 18.07.2016

As Josh Romito announced, hackers have attacked the systems and home network of the developer of the graphics Mod GTA 5 Redux. The release date for the download therefore moved from 26 August to 16 September. Although some data were compromised, backups - although incomplete - make a delay unavoidable. After all, the missing data would recover relatively quickly, resulting in a total shift of only three weeks.

GTA 5 Redux will be available for download as of August 26, Just before the release comes a new gameplay trailer, which brings the graphic advantages of the modification into the foreground. The video can be found at the end of this message, along with the previous video that the modder Josh Romito published to announce the release date.

The release date of GTA 5 Redux is fixed: On August 26, 2017, players of GTA 5 can download and install the graphics mod- ule Redux. The date has been announced by the modder Josh Romito at the moment, as his Youtube Channel has exceeded the mark of 5,000 subscribers. In the meantime, there are almost 12,000 users who are watching their videos. So far, it's all about GTA 5 and how you can make Mods the world of the Open World more beautiful.

Josh Romito worked on the graphic mod "The Pinnacle of V" ("The Summit of [GTA] V"), but has stopped and apparently worked with Redux on another project, which is soon available to the public. With Redux, you can breathe new life into Los Santos - the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto V. New textures, weather effects, better explosions and more make for a more modern look for the game, which premiered on the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles in 2013.

At the end of 2017 GTA 5 saw the light of the world on the current consoles PS4 and Xbox One. Higher resolutions, sharper textures, and other graphics features better exploited the performance of current game consoles. In April 2017 followed the PC version, which went one step higher. The version also provided support for modding - modifying game content for new content or better graphics.

GTA 5 for the PC is still technically still at a high level. But there is air up, as Modder has often demonstrated. Previous graphics mods, however, usually required a relatively elaborate customization of configuration files. This is due to the fact that known mods such as "ICEnhancer" or the "ENB Series" package still require additional fine tuning. With Redux, we can probably expect a complete package that installs all necessary steps "in a dishwashing". The video released with the release date shows you what you can look forward to. For more information about Mod, visit the official GTA 5 Redux website.

Note: The online mode of GTA 5 is not compatible with mods so as not to risk a lock, you should remove mods before entering the multiplayer server.
