GTA 5: Gangster daughter Karen Gravano sued Rockstar Games

Is GTA 5 based on life stories of real gangsters? And your daughters? The game “Grand Theft Auto” and the developer Rockstar Games had already been dealing with several curious complaints – now they were sued by Karen Gravano, who believes that GTA 5 copied her and his father’s life story Br>

Gravano is convinced and now demands $ 40 million from Rockstar Games. The response from the game developer, as in previous cases, was only a brief statement in which they were told that they would not comment on legal matters.

Concretely, it is about a secondary mission in the game in which the fictional woman Antonia Bottino is the daughter of a gangster family. Bottino must make themselves available as a witness in the later course of the judicial process. This story has striking parallels to Gravo's life.

Her attorney said that, despite the fact that Gravano is most respectful of the authors and creators of the game, her life story is unique and should be told only by her. According to the applicant, this dispute could have been prevented by a simple licensing request - now everything seems to go to court proceedings.

Tip: GTA 5 appeared in September 17, 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Versions for PC, Playstation 4 or Xbox One are still waiting. If you need new food for your Zockermaschinen, check out our special for game releases in March 2017.
