All user files are located in your own user folder, which you usually find under “C: \ Users \ your username”. Open it and look for the folder where the read-only file is located. It does not matter whether the file is again in a subfolder. In any case, select a folder directly below “C: \ Users \ your username”. This will save you a lot of time. Click the folder with the right mouse button and go to “Properties.”

Important: Do not apply the procedure described here directly to the user folder, let alone drive C, as you can read it in some tips. The alleged abbreviation leads to problems, such as programs that are not started or unstable. Instead, repeat the process individually for other folders in your user folder where Windows reports read-only files.
