Photoshop only in the subscription: Adobe sets on CreativeCloud

Just 18 months ago, Adobe introduced the Creative Suite CS6 with the integration of a Creative Cloud. Now Adobe is changing the concept: From the programs of the Creative Suite, which previously listened to the abbreviation CS, are now Creative Cloud products, which carry as a new abbreviation CC. With the Photoshop CC.

New features in Photoshop CC

Photoshop users will swallow first, because with the Photoshop CC there is no box version. There will not be a Creative Suite CS7. Adobe will now fully rely on an Abomodel (see below).

Adobe Mighty - for the first time hardware from Adobe

Adobe developers particularly proudly presented the easy updating options, which should now be done with one click, as well as the extensive help and the advisory area for all applications. From other cloud vendors, Adobe seeks to preview the open files of all Creative Cloud applications. InDesign documents or PSD Photoshop data can not actually show other cloud providers, where Adobe even demonstrated on mobile devices like the iPhone at the Adobe Max Creativity Conference.

News for After Effects CC

In the Photoshop CC, the Camera Raw application is now integrated as a filter, with the surface being identical. However, the filter tool now offers significantly more manual intervention possibilities. As a highlight, Adobe showed radial gradient filters. The idea is that you define areas with circles that can then be controlled separately, whereby the software works with a soft edge. The idea is not entirely new: the software Nik Viveza, recently acquired by Google, offers this U-Point service some years ago.

Adobe has also been working to reduce motion blur. The Photoshop CC now provides an automatic analysis. For this purpose, the photographer defines one or more image areas, the software analyzes and changes the focus in these areas, while boldly displaying a rather blurred flower image on the stage, which then looked quite neat.

In addition, Adobe presented its first hardware: Adobe Mighty, a pencil with a digital ruler that allows you to write and paint on a pad. The Mighty pen works through the cache of the cloud, so you can insert captured elements on another tablet.

You can also install the programs on two computers within an "Adobe Creative Cloud" membership. Adobe syncs the personal settings on both computers. You can also use apps to make the cloud attractive: With a revised Kuler app, you can now capture colors in reality and send them to the application via the cloud, which is first done in Illustrator, because the Kuler color palettes can be used From the cloud directly. Whether the Photoshop can access the color palettes is still unclear.

On the stage came the video cut applications very short, even if Jeason Levine after After Effects CC presented. After Effects Maxons Cinema 4D lite is included. The background: It now takes place how within the Creative Cloud products an exchange of parameters take place so that one must in the future have less rendering. Changes in the 3D software can be transferred directly to the After Effects CC project.

As a further highlight on the stage: the improved Rotoscoping. In After Effects you can now, as in Photoshop with a single image for some time, via brushes separate the foreground from the background - even with difficult objects such as scrolling. The software then analyzes the video reliably, so that the sky can be just dyed or replaced.

Photoshop: How to work with smart objects
