Image processing with Lightroom Mobile
Lightroom mobile provides the most important, but not all of the features of Lightroom for desktop computers. Contrast correction is fully integrated, including "Gradation Curve", "Dynamics", "Clarity" and permanently visible colored histogram. In the "Color / SW" area, you can strengthen or move individual color values. On the other hand, there are no controls for sharpening, noise reduction and equalization as well as local amplification or retouching.
Lightroom Mobile: Transfer changes to other images
Lightroom mobile handles both JPEG and RAW files. The changes remain loss-free, and the corrections are visible on all computers connected to your Adobe ID. The app does not transfer the high-resolution original images but reduced previews - but all changes are very precise.
Also in the image management the portable Lightroom shows only a part of the well-known talents: attributes attributed to the mobile phone such as flag marking or star rating are transferred to Lightroom at the main computer. There are no keywords or geodata. You can publish collections from Lightroom mobile blitzschnell as an Internet gallery and comment on the web.
Lightroom mobile can automatically read all new photos on your phone or tablet and transfer new pictures to your computer on the desktop. There is another way to do this: Create a synchronized collection in Lightroom on the main computer, which you then see on your mobile device. This is how
1. Start in Lightroom on the Windows or Mac computer. If necessary, choose Edit, Preferences. On the "Lightroom mobile" tab, click "Join" and enter your Adobe ID, that is your email address and password.
2. In the upper-left corner of the program window, click on the Lightroom label or on a different "identification plate" and then on "Synchronization with Lightroom mobile". Then mobile devices and desktop computers always remain on the same level.
3. In the control panel on the left, you will need the "Collections". If necessary, create a collection of all the photos you want to use on the mobile device. Click on the free box next to the name of the collection. Then a double arrow appears, so the pictures of the collection are also available on the mobile.
4. Log on to your phone or tablet with your Adobe ID in Lightroom mobile. You will soon see the collections selected in step 3 with your images.
Tip: In the Start view of Lightroom mobile, tap the "Lr" icon in the upper left corner. The "Enter usage data" option is activated first. If you do not want to provide information about your use of the Lightroom, please select the item. The point "gestures" explains the useful screen handles with several fingers. "Reset Help" again displays the large-scale tips for operation. Under "Share metadata", you specify whether you want to share your images with or without the camera, location and caption.
In the thumbnail overview and single-image display you can display technical information or recording data for each picture - several times, tap a miniature with two fingers. When you view the file names, RAW and JPEG files are easy to distinguish.
A double-tip with one finger changes the zoom level. When you see the complete photo, drag vertically across the shot - now apply flag mark or star rating. Which attribute should appear, you decide with a long double-tip.
To adjust the contrast, touch "Customize". Use the controls in the "Basic Settings" panel, such as "Temperature", "Tint", or "Exposure", which works just as you would in Lightroom on your desktop computer
To adjust the white balance, use the eyedropper: Tap the white balance menu item and the pipette in the upper left corner. Drag the tool over the image, Lightroom adjusts the overall image immediately to the grayscale within the magnifying glass. When the color tune is correct, tap the check mark to the right of the magnifying glass.
