The new series of Epson works differently from the likewise new photoprints with a 5 color system of the new “Claria Premium” ink. But here too there are four dyes and a black pigment ink – so always single tanks for the cost-effective exchange.
The "Claria Premium" ink combines black pigment inks with dye inks in the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The manufacturer promises particularly durable text documents and good photoprint.
Ready for the Cloud
Print jobs can be launched via Epson iPrint, E-mail Print, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. In addition, they can store scanned documents directly on on-line storage. The models communicate via USB or WLAN. They have two paper cassettes and can print on both sides thanks to the duplex printing function. They can also label CDs and DVDs.
The models Epson Expression XP-700 and Expression Premium XP-800 have like the new Fotoducker an integrated touch screen with 8,8 cm width. With a special paper feed on the back, they can feed heavy media. The Expression Premium XP-800, XP-700 and XP-600/605 will be available from September. The price is called Epson only for the smallest model: The XP-600 is to cost 170 euros.
New printers in the lower price segment
Once again clearly below this lies the new Home series. The new "Epson Small-in-One" series include the XP-400, XP-300, XP-200 and XP-102 multi-functional devices. The devices enable printing, copying and scanning. The Expression Home XP-30 rounds off the portfolio as a pure printer for home users. These models use the four-color ink Claria Home - so it looks so no single-tank. The XP-400 costs 110 euros, the XP-300 100 euros and the XP-200 90 euros. The XP-30 is priced at 60 Euro and the XP-102 at 70 Euro.
