Therefore, buyers have to decide whether they want to equip their Mac Mini with four, eight or sixteen gigabytes of RAM. The decision is also permanent when choosing the processor.
In general, the Mac Mini is not as easy to unscrew as in previous models. The housing, which is to be screwed with a rotary movement, has been replaced by a black cover, which has to be lifted.
Then, however, is still not the view of the working memory free. Before this, a shielding plate must be screwed, which is fastened with three TR6 Torx screws. Only then is the view of the inner life of the Mac Mini free.
In contrast to the memory and to the processor, the hard disk can be exchanged quite simply by the user. The Mac Mini from iFixit had a PCIe SSD installed. For the difficult opening and the hard-soldered components, the small calculator gets only six out of ten possible repair points - the previous model was evaluated with two points.
