Michael Hirsch is Raumfeld’s program manager and, in an interview with us, talks about Teufel’s wireless loudspeaker division.
CONNECTED HOME: Does the demand for space systems meet your expectations?
Michael Hirsch: The Raumfeld product line is a success story with high growth rates and fully meets our expectations. We are particularly surprised by the high demand of the speaker L. We honestly did not expect that.
CONNECTED HOME: Will there be a high-end solution a la Ultima 800 as a wireless solution?
Michael Hirsch: In the foreseeable future, we are assuming that the space speaker L remains our flagship. In addition, however, our Raumfeld connector can integrate any active speaker or classic amplifier-loudspeaker combination into the Raumfeld system.
CONNECTED HOME: Thanks to active electronics and digital signal processors, a calibration function can be applied to the respective room. Will this option be in the future?
Michael Hirsch: We have been discussing this internally since the beginning of the field. It would indeed offer, but at least currently we have no concrete plans.
CONNECTED HOME: What does the future bring to Devil? Can we expect more wireless products?
Michael Hirsch: Definitely! We constantly develop our software and supplement features, music services or functions. This will also benefit existing Raumfeld customers. We also work on new components and operate model maintenance for existing components. Only so much: the pure concept phase we have already left behind.
