This combination achieves excellent results: 287 points in SYSmark 2002 and 5610 points in 3Dmark 2003 and 17391 points in 3Dmark 2001 SE. All three are new records in the category of complete systems. Also included are a DVD drive and a DVD burner that supports DVD + R and DVD + RW. The hardware is rounded off with a Soundblaster Audigy2 and a Serial ATA hard drive from Seagate. Despite the many high-performance components, the Dimension 8300 still remains quiet in operation. On average, there are no drive accesses 32.1 dB (A). A very good value for a system of this performance class. The included software package provides a solid foundation. In addition to the Windows XP Home Edition operating system, Microsofts Works, Paint Shop Pro and a DVDPlayer software are included.
