Napster announces user numbers: two million subscribers cracked

The music streaming portal Napster cracks the two-million-user brand. It is still behind the big competitor Spotify, which now has more than ten million premium subscribers and more than 30 million free users. Looking at the streaming market, however, this growth is very significant.

The positive development is also to be driven in the international arena. The music service would also like to be represented in Latin America. Also in France, Napster, but under the name Unradio, goes to the start.

Napster was founded in the nineties and was considered as a music exchange exchange. The peer-to-peer software was exchanged between networked computers. Since the company got legal problems in the meantime, it was dissolved and the patent rights issued. In 2011 Rhapsody took over the service and started it in the United States and the UK.
