Canon Pixma MG6850 in the test

The Canon Pixma MG6850 is our price / performance recommendation at the same time the cheapest model in the test field. There are some drawbacks in the equipment with regard to other devices in the test, but by no means the excellent functionality of all offered device components as well as the very good printing, scanning and copying quality

The printer creates 15 A4 pages or eleven A4 color pages in the design mode and on plain paper. But also the photoprint runs fast with about a minute for a 10 x 15 cm photo on photo-paper.

The unit offers paper-saving duplex printing, but you do not need to use an ADF original and fax function. The operation via the touch-screen on the device and the device software are self-explanatory. USB and WLAN are available as interfaces. Direct printing of memory cards is also possible. The app and WLAN can be used to start print jobs via the smartphone or various cloud sources. The unit operates with five separately replaceable ink cartridges. In addition to the three color cartridges, two black cartridges (1 x pigment, 1 x dye) are available for optimum office and photo quality. For a 10 x 15 cm photo, you have to pay 26 cents, for an A4 page, 4.6 cents.

The Canon Pixma MG6850 is the cheapest device in the test field without fax and ADF and is very well suited for photo prints and all office or hobby tasks that are often at home.
