The tapHOME products turn every home into a smart home: devices are controlled with a smartphone or tablet. A simple fingerprint according to the manufacturer is enough to turn all lamps in the house on or off. With a wiping movement, the brightness of dimmable lamps can be precisely adjusted. Very convenient is the remote access to the system: If you have forgotten to turn off the light, you can access the tapHOME app.
Timesheets can also be created using tapHOME. Thus, the lighting (in the absence) can be switched on or off at fixed times, or a pre-heated apartment can be found at home. Another feature of tapHOME is the scene function. With this, residential situations can be created. Automatically turns off the TV and the light is adapted to the preferences of the user. The best atmosphere for a dinner is created with one click.
The tapHOME products will initially only support iOS devices. An Android app is planned for the second quarter of 2013. The Smart Home devices work with the Z-Wave wireless technology. An extension of the system is possible at any time, according to the manufacturer.
The tapHOME Starter Pack is expected to be available in April. The recommended retail price is 199,90 Euro. The start package contains the base station EASYGate as well as an EASYPlug plug and a dimmer EASYPlugDim. Additional plugs cost 39.90 euros or 49.90 euros.
Other tapHOME devices are expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2013. Among them devices for the control of heaters and roller shutters.
