Panasonic SC-HTB485 in the test - Soundbar

At first glance, the Panasonic SC-HTB485 soundbar is a bargain: The manufacturer demands around 280 euros for its long-standing loudspeaker and the cable-free subwoofer. The Japanese even supply the right wall mount and an IR blaster. The sound bar itself works well and provides the most important short command buttons on the side. The materials of the subwoofer used, however, already at first sight, that for 280 euros but had to be saved in certain places.

Also interesting is

Also a pity is that Panasonic with the SC-HTB485 works with a display to facilitate the navigation, but because of the construction of the soundbar, the display sitting barely read. It is not easier to use the soundbars because of the uncongenuous control concept of Panasonic, which we have already criticized in previous models.

For the wireless music transmission, the Panasonic SC-HTB485 Bluetooth and NFC on board. Both connect quickly and reliably. The SC-HTB485 is the perfect choice for a wide range of musicians.

With the bass reflex box the manufacturer uses a woofer with a 16 cm diaphragm to produce enough bass. In the film operation loses the soundbar unfortunately. Although Panasonic makes left and right the space better than the television itself, the desired depth and spatiality he does not create. Thanks to the integrated ClearMode dialog, the voices of the protagonists are always easy to understand, but the sound is not quite round in the bass range.
