ILinX


Even when ripping CDs, the progress via iPhone or iPod touch can be easily monitored over WLAN throughout the house. The software even shows the cover art of the current track format-filling and allows comfortable browsing through the playlists that the owner has stored on his HDX.


IControlAV


The design is simple but smart and makes this small, useful tool intuitive to use. Who runs the HDX in the NaimNet network, can also control the music server with the iLinX software from the development partner NetStreams and thus control video, light, blinds or alarm system.


In the picture: With the free n-Serve software for the music server Naim HDX, the traditional company Naim Audio enters new technological development. The app of the Phono experts converted to network specialists has worked very well - especially the cover-art representation of the running track. Also the operation of the HDX reminds very strongly to the handling of an iPod.


The versatile app of the American home automation specialist NetStream, which also provided the technical basis for the development of the compatible standard NaimNet, is really costly. So you can control the music servers and NaimNet tuners comfortably via Apple mobile phone or iPod touch.


But also other tuners with RS-232 interface and meta-data feedback as well as music servers from ReQuest, Imerge, Escient or SMM play together with the very clear, emphasized factual application. In addition to audio and video components, iLinX controls the lighting systems compatible with DigiLinX with feedback, alarm systems, and climate control systems.


Even the video streams of surveillance cameras can be easily viewed on a screen. ILinX even works via VPN over mobile radio. A very powerful, but also quite expensive software.


Pioneer has a great praise for this move: to the zero tariff, the Japanese make their customers happy with a versatile app, which however does not work with all network compatible Pioneer receivers and Blu-ray players, but only with the receiver models manufactured from April 2010 VSX-1020 and VSX-920 as well as the Blu-ray players BDP-330 and BDP-LX52.


It is especially convenient to move the surround balance in any direction in the room and influence the bass by means of a wireless router with this "visual touch" special touch-sensitive app.
